Belagavi

One could say that Belagavi is known to be one of the bravest cities or otherwise called the land of heroes. The reason to that is a famous queen Rani Chennama fought hard against the British until the very end. It is a reason to celebrate for each resident of the city. The city is full of art and culture as it has been influenced by both Marathi and Goan cultures with a major mix of the home language Kannada. Belagavi is known for mineral deposits and its mining. The Belgaum fort or the Belagavi fort is famous for its two shrines of Durga and Ganapathy together with a mosque in the surroundings as well. The architecture of the fort include a style that is a mix of Chalukyan, Deccan, and Indo Sarcenic. The water gushing out of the Gokak falls is a joy to watch.
